The spring breeze brings another job hunting season in China, as well as more job hunters freshly graduated from overseas universities.

Zhu Yangjian, a Chinese student studying at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, has been looking at a website of the national employment service for returned overseas students under the Ministry of Education.
在日本福岡市九州大學(xué)求學(xué)的中國留學(xué)生朱陽劍（音譯）最近一直在瀏覽教育部下屬的國家留學(xué)人才就業(yè)服務(wù)平臺。

"I prefer to work in China. The overall salary in Japan is not much different from that in China, but the cost of living there is higher. The attractiveness of local employment is declining. Moreover, there are more intriguing jobs in China," said Zhu.
朱陽劍說：“我更愿意在中國工作。日本的總體薪資水平和中國沒有太大差別，但是日本的生活成本更高。日本當(dāng)?shù)氐木蜆I(yè)吸引力在減弱。而且，在中國可以找到更多有趣的工作。”

Zhu is reflecting the thoughts of the majority of Chinese overseas students.
朱陽劍說的話反映出了中國大多數(shù)留學(xué)生的想法。

According to the "2022 Blue Paper for Chinese Overseas Students Returning to China for Employment" released by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, the number of students returning to China has grown significantly since 2012, with about 3.4 million people having returned, accounting for more than 80 percent of the people studying overseas.
根據(jù)教育部留學(xué)服務(wù)中心發(fā)布的《2022中國留學(xué)回國就業(yè)藍(lán)皮書》，自2012年以來，留學(xué)人員回國人數(shù)大幅增加，約有341.34萬人回國，占留學(xué)人員總數(shù)的80%以上。

According to the "2023 Report on Chinese Students Overseas Study" released by New Oriental, an overseas study service agency, direct employment or entrepreneurship after graduation in 2023 became the mainstream for those who had gained master's or PhD degrees overseas, accounting for 65 percent in total.
新東方發(fā)布的《2023中國留學(xué)白皮書》顯示，直接就業(yè)或創(chuàng)業(yè)成為碩博留學(xué)生畢業(yè)后的主流選擇，合計占比為65%。

"More than half of the Chinese students around me have planned to return to China to work. We believe that our international thinking and vision can give us a more competitive edge in the job market," said Zhao Zhijin, who is studying at Musashi University in Japan.
正在日本武藏大學(xué)求學(xué)的趙志金（音譯）表示：“我身邊超過半數(shù)的中國留學(xué)生打算回國工作。我們相信我們的國際化思維和視野可以讓自己在就業(yè)市場上更有競爭力。”

In the "2023 Overseas Study Talent Employment Development Report" jointly released by Liepin, a service company focusing on job hunting, and the China World Youth Summit, 80.85 percent of corporate HR professionals believe that under the same conditions, overseas study experience will be a plus for candidates.
獵聘與中國世界青年峰會合作發(fā)布的《2023海外留學(xué)人才就業(yè)發(fā)展報告》顯示，80.85%的企業(yè)人力資源從業(yè)者認(rèn)為在同等條件下，留學(xué)經(jīng)歷會成為候選人的加分項。

Huo Jiali, who studied at Delaware Valley University in the United States, returned to her hometown of Jinzhong, North China's Shanxi province, years ago. She has dedicated the knowledge she gained during her study abroad to agricultural work at a local firm.
曾在美國特拉華谷大學(xué)留學(xué)的霍嘉莉（音譯）多年前回到了老家山西晉中市。她將自己留學(xué)期間收獲的知識奉獻(xiàn)給了當(dāng)?shù)匾患移髽I(yè)的農(nóng)業(yè)工作。

Huo said China's favorable policy ensures that returning students have a good work environment and treatment.

In the past decade, China has introduced a series of policy measures from the central to local levels to provide convenience and create conditions for returning overseas students.
過去十年來，中國從中央到地方出臺了一系列政策措施，為歸國留學(xué)生提供便利、創(chuàng)造條件。

In 2015, China issued a notice on facilitating the entrepreneurship of returned overseas students, which included overseas returnees in the support range of national university graduate employment and entrepreneurship.
2015年，中國印發(fā)了《關(guān)于做好留學(xué)回國人員自主創(chuàng)業(yè)工作有關(guān)問題的通知》，將海歸納入國家高校畢業(yè)生就業(yè)創(chuàng)業(yè)支持范圍。

In 2016, another notice on implementing entrepreneurship guarantee loan to support entrepreneurship and employment was issued, which included returned overseas students in the scope of entrepreneurship guarantee loan support.
2016年，《關(guān)于實施創(chuàng)業(yè)擔(dān)保貸款支持創(chuàng)業(yè)就業(yè)工作的通知》出臺，將留學(xué)回國人員列入創(chuàng)業(yè)擔(dān)保貸款支持對象范圍。

"In order to promote the employment of overseas students, we have been cooperating with various related service units, improved service mechanisms, and provided convenience for entrepreneurship and employment, thereby enhancing their sense of belonging and achievement," said Chen Xijie, deputy director of the Shanxi provincial service center for overseas students and experts.
山西省留學(xué)人員和專家服務(wù)中心副主任陳希杰表示：“為了促進(jìn)留學(xué)生就業(yè)，我們一直和各相關(guān)服務(wù)單位協(xié)同合作，完善服務(wù)機(jī)制，為留學(xué)生創(chuàng)業(yè)就業(yè)提供便利，進(jìn)而提升他們的歸屬感和成就感。”

According to data released by China's Ministry of Education, from 1978 to 2019, 6.56 million people studied overseas. During this period, 4.23 million people chose to return to China after completing their studies, accounting for 86.28 percent of the group that completed their studies.
根據(jù)教育部發(fā)布的數(shù)據(jù)，1978年至2019年度，各類出國留學(xué)人員累計達(dá)656.06萬人。在此期間，有423.17萬人在完成學(xué)業(yè)后選擇回國發(fā)展，占已完成學(xué)業(yè)群體的86.28%。

The proportion of the number of people returning from studying overseas to the number of people to study overseas rose from 38.2 percent in 2000 to 64.5 percent in 2019.
歸國留學(xué)生占留學(xué)生總數(shù)的比例從2000年的38.2%上升到了2019年的64.5%。
